Started a new blog

Just so everyone here knows I've started a new blog.
Inside BJ's Head
I've Decided that I'm still going to post scrapbook and card layouts every now and then, but I'm going to do reviews of books and stuff over there. It's what I really enjoy anyways and for those who know me they know I rather tell people about Great things than have to be limited to just one person's product as I have been for awhile.
So, with that being said I hope you'll understand. I'll be hosting a giveaway here soon for an amazon giftcard...be sure to check it out when it goes live :)
Ps-Secret Santa......Don't worry I'll still gotcha you covered!!!!!
Lots of hugs
BJ

Sorry

Sorry I haven't posted anything since I was in Las Vegas. Lots of things happen and I'm kind of at an questioning point right now as to what I'm planning on doing. I'll try and post some cool projects up here very soon and I don't know maybe I might change things up a notch or two and put something totally crazy up...like a book review or something.
Did you happen to read Kerrelyn Sparks: Eat, Prey, Love ?
It's an amazing book full of surprises to keep you on your toes. It's part of her Love at stake series and boy it doesn't let you down.
Carlos is one heck of a Cat......yes, you'll have to read the book to figure out what I mean by that...
Ok hugs-BJ

Tired of Snowman Poop???

Well Over at Craftbits I found this cute little spot for Elf Poop!!!!
So Break out all the Elf stamps Ladies!!!!

----Elf Poop Poem ----

I hear you've been naughty,

So listen, here's the scoop

I'm running short on coal this year,

so you get a pile of "Elf Poop"

I know you've been dying to use them.....
It's a wonderful idea....Using Gum Drops, Smarties, Multi Color wrapped Candy....Image everything you can do.....Just think of all the laughs.
Christmas is going to be so much Fun this year!!!!
Found this one for Reindeer on the same site...Too funny!----

----Reindeer Poop Poem----

I woke up with such a scare when I heard Santa call
"Now dash away, dash away, dash away all!
I ran to the lawn and in the snowy white drifts,
those nasty reindeer had left "little gifts".
I got an old shovel and started to scoop
neat little piles of "reindeer poop".
But to throw them away, seemed such a waste,
So I saved them, thinking ~ you might like a taste!
As I finished my task, which took quite awhile,
Old Santa passed by and he sheepishly smiled.
And I heard him exclaim as he rose in the sky
"Well, they're not potty trained, but at least they can fly!"

What I want for Christmas...

So I did something yesterday that I thought I would never do...I went to over 160 blogs....Yes can you believe it? Going to that many blogs made me realize that not only did my finger totally hurt, there are some amazing bloggers out there!
Well at wwww.craftgossip.com they have a contest going on where you can win what you want for Christmas and I've thought long and hard on this one...I really would like a Kindle. Since I love to read so much what a better gift in the world could there be? I mean Yes I toss around the thought of a digital camera and then decided I like my mom's so I'll just use hers(since she doesn't) and then thought about new clothes, but I like my jeans and hoodies....so Thus if the nice Elfs are listening and really want to make this dream come true...Please oh Please pick me :)

This Weekend....

This weekend in Greeley, Colorado, there is going to be the Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook Expo....How fun right?  Even better will be getting to go......I get to actually go to this one and I can't wait!!! Saturday can't get here fast enough. I heard that last weekend's show went pretty well down in Colorado Springs (I didn't get to go to that one). I really want to see all the different vendors and see what they have to offer. I love to see all the new stamps and to learn  different tricks. I have heard that Eyelets Etc will have some Amazing ....Yes I said Amazing card make and takes....so if you have a chance to go you should really stop by their booth and do a make and take....buy some eyelets....See what's cooler than a croc-a-dile...and who knows maybe we might even meet....you never know...It is a "Small world after all".
On that note what do you think of these cards?

As Promised.....

Sorry For not posting any projects for a LONG time. I was in the process of moving my craft room from my my "craft room" to the dining room. My mom just moved in with us and need a room of her own and thus was the end of my domain....No worries though I never actually had a real need for a dining room, we have an eat-in kitchen that works just fine...LOL
So here is a camping page that I did for Eyelets Etc Lets Blog site (they're a bit behind on posting but I'm sure it will be there soon)

The Pictures were taking on a vacation to Yellowstone. My family had so much fun.It  was amazing!
I use Camping stickers, Bazzill cardstock, Eyelet Etc pattern paper, and of course Eyelet Etc eyelets.

The Cardmaker's Bill of Rights

I saw this on OWH blog and thought I would share it here...
As a cardmaker, you are entitled (but not limited) to the following rights:

•You have the right to take as long as you want to complete one handmade card. This may be five minutes or two weeks.

•You have the right to send a card for no other reason than to show off your new stamp, embellishment or technique.

•You have the right to create a fabulous card for your husband, partner or roommate – just because you know it will stay in your house.

•You have the right to spread your cardmaking things out all over, just to admire them.

•You have the right to purchase a certain cardmaking item for no other reason than because a) you like it; b) you think it's cute; c) you'll never find it again, or; d) you know you'll use it someday.

•You have the right to reserve using your most precious supplies on cards only for recipients who will truly appreciate them.

•You have the right to a workspace of your own. This may be the basement, your college student's old bedroom or the kitchen table.

•You have the right to make cards when inspiration strikes – whether the dishes are done or not.

•You have the right to request peaceful, kid-free, stress-less cardmaking time - guilt-free.

•You have the right to let the handmade card be the gift, too.

•You have the right to value your personal style.

•You are creating a treasure - and part of that treasure is you.

I went Birdy...LOL

Ok so Rubberstampchat.net had their monthly Challenge up and at first I wasn't going to try it after such a low turn out last month, but then I saw the stamp set that was being offered by Smeared Ink...OMG they are soooo cute...I had to try and put a card in the mix....
We here it is...and it's kind of nice that my mom has a birthday coming up and it turned out so cute that I'm sending it off to her....
Even better is the fact that since it has bees on it I can also use it to enter Alota Rubber Stamp Challenge Bees and Bugs....
I only wished the scanner would of got the full glitter on of the card....in person the card just has more sparkle....I guess I'll have to upgrade....LOL

Rain got you Down?

This Card that Liz Made says it all.......!!!!!

Nancy Made this!

Ok since I have a few Mother's day cards to make Nancy Helped me out. I have to post this wonderful card she made. Hope you like it.

I had help....

Ok so every month I hang out with two AWESOME women...Nancy and Liz.

They are really sweet Stampers that have taught me a lot and it's a great way to get out of the house and just make cards. We don't have anything set that we all do as a group unless there is something I want to learn that they can teach me. Its great! This last time I had a b-day card I needed to make and I was still working on my Prince card so Liz whip one up for me and it so cute. Nancy did the background paper and Liz stamped the card. I think it's cute!

Mother's day card

Ok I finally got my mother's day card done...yeah! I don't really have stamps that I like for this day so I used some punch outs I had and it actually looks nice. It's simple and really sweet. And since I have t make more than 1 Mother's day card it helps that it was easy...Hope you like it.

My Frog Prince.....LOL

I created this card for the April Sketch challenge at Rubber Stamp Chat. I've never entered one of their Challenges and I thought what the heck let's give it a roll. That and the fact that this year I seem to be trying all kind of new things.

So here's my Froggy Prince........

.........................Isn't he soooooo cute!!!!!!!

I actually got this stamps from a Grab Bag that I bought from Viva Las Vegastamps. Yes I know, BJ and her Grab bags.....there is no doctors currently treating anyone for my addiction...so there!

Now I just have to figure out who to send this out to.

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

I did it.....and it wasn't bad!

I said I would figure out those easel cards and what better day then today....

So I went over to Splitcoast and checked out their tutorial by Beate Johns http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/easelcard/

Even though my card isn't as fancy as most I think my Mema is going to love it for her B-day.

I used a cream colored card stock for the base of the card, then a piece of "open daisy" by Paper Adventures (I've had this paper for over a year plus so it was good to use it finally), followed up by 3 white flower eyelets, 2 flowers , and 1 rivet (in the center of the flowers). I embossed the letters MEMA to give it a more "I love you more than Hallmark" feel, and of course I put a little "I love you mema" note inside.
Over all I really like these cards they weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be, maybe just the fact that I'm sooooo new I just scared myself silly. I really have to stop doing that.

Easter Layout

Sometimes Simple is CUTE.....

A good peice of paper for the base, as with this one which contains multi-colors and stitching, a solid color for your picture and your title, add some stickers.....Simple and cute, with time for another :)

And....Yes....Carrie even though you can burn toast you could most likely do this.....*hugs*

Saturday, March 20, 2010

I'm having fun with this....

So since I kinda of figured this out....(not really), and since I finally came down from my "OMG I did a blog", I'm back here to post another card. It's a stamp my husband bought me, which in itself is "rare" because he Never and I mean Never buys me stamps, Thus the "rare" stamp part....LOL. I think it's really cute it reminds me of my mornings and I think I'll send it to my sister-in-law as a thinking of you card or something sweet like that. Hmmmm am I that sweet?

I added glitter around all the ripped edges and in their hair just to add a bit more to the overall wow. Then just because I'm me I added more glitter to the toast and the flowers and then what the heck I gave it a bow and called it done....LOL.....

Friday, March 12, 2010

OMG ....I have no clue what I am doing, but lets roll with it!

I started this just so I can start entering all these wonderful contests using my cards that I make, and I just realized after posting my first card that.."duh unless you're one of my many of friends on Facebook you won't be able to see my card." So, now here I am. Look to the future as I learn more about this blogging thing for me to post more things. However for now I'm posting this wonderful card I made for the Alota Rubber Blog challenge 30.

Alota30-
